To be considered for membership in the Hilton Head Preparatory Chapter of the National Honor Society, a student must have been enrolled at Prep for the prior school year (there is an exception for students that are new to Prep during their Senior year) and must have maintained a grade point average of at least 4.25 for the previous school year. In addition, a student cannot have had any disciplinary or honor code infractions for the previous school year (through the induction date) or be on honor probation.
Once inducted, NHS students must maintain a GPA of at least 4.25 which will be checked at the end of each semester. Prep National Honor Society members also must complete additional school service (above the ten hours required by Prep) in the form of academic tutoring in order to maintain their membership.
